Living Room
Saturna Seaside has a large and comfortable living room, and reading nook. The ceiling is vaulted to give the room an open feeling. With several sofas, the living room easily accommodates a large group or family at the end of a full day of island adventures! This room says "relax".
The living room overlooks Winter Cove, Boat Pass, the islands of Samuel, Anniversary, Mayne and Pender so you can enjoy the stunning sunset from the comfort of a sofa!
Kitchen
Saturna Seaside has a spacious kitchen and dining room with a open floor plan that integrates the fantastic views of nature with the pleasures of cooking and eating for all your guests. The kitchen is supplied with everything you need to prepare meals for everyone in the house. Details and photos are shown below.
The kitchen has a beautiful view of the water so you can enjoy the surroundings even when you are inside preparing meals. The bar stools along the counter are especially useful for informal breakfasts and lunches. Fabulous foods and views go so well together.
The kitchen has a refrigerator, gas cook top, electric oven, microwave, dishwasher, coffee grinder, coffee maker, blender, toaster, and ample cupboard and counter space. Next to the kitchen is the sunny entryway area with a desk, chairs, and table, not to mention fantastic views!
Dining Room
The dining table seats 8 people and is conveniently situated next to the kitchen. The bar counter also seats 4.
The dining room, like the kitchen, has a beautiful view of Winter Cove, Boat Pass, the islands of Samuel, Anniversary, Mayne and Pender.
Bedrooms
Saturna Seaside sleeps 8 and easily accommodates one or two families. We have three bedrooms, the King, the Queen, and the Jack. The King and Queen Suites each have their own private ensuite bathroom. Additionally, there is a single sofa bed in the living room and a queen sofa bed in the entertainment room. The bedrooms are shown below with more detail.
King Bedroom Suite
The King bedroom suite is on the first floor of the house. It features a king-sized bed, a large sofa, a dresser, and an ocean side view. The adjoining King bathroom is pictured.
King Bathroom
The King bathroom, adjoining the King bedroom suite, features a full walk-in closet and a full bathroom with shower.
Queen Bedroom Suite
The Queen bedroom suite is on the second floor of the house. It features a queen-sized bed, a dresser, a leather chair and ottoman, a closet, a full bathroom with shower, and ample sunlight.
Jack Bedroom
The Jack bedroom is also on the second floor of the house. It features a queen bed, a single bed, a desk, and a full bathroom with tub and shower right across the hall. For families, this bedroom makes a perfect space for kids to share. There is an extra single futon mattress for a child stored under the queen bed.
Laundry Room
The laundry room is located next to the entryway on the second floor of the house. As seen in this picture, there is also a sink for hand washing next to the washer and dryer. We keep a small supply of laundry soap on hand for guests.
As fresh water is scarce on Saturna, please use conservatively.
Billiards Room
The billiards room is located on the first floor of the house near the King bedroom suite and the entertainment room. Pool is a great game for the whole family. There is also a ping pong table that fits over the pool table.
Saturna Seaside is a retreat for those who love the outdoors. It also features some amenities that will allow you some fun indoors as well.
Entertainment Room
The music lover will enjoy our piano during their stay at Saturna Seaside. The piano is located in the entertainment room next to the billiards room and near the King bedroom suite on the first floor of the house.
The TV/DVD home entertainment system (some TV reception) features a flat screen TV, Blu-Ray player, and a DVD library with over 300 titles with something for everyone. The queen sleeper sofa is located in the entertainment room. The entertainment room, which has fantastic ocean views, is on the first floor of the house and can be closed for privacy.
Deck
One of Saturna Seaside's best features is actually the outside. Our deck wraps around the house to provide a sunny entryway into the house, a lovely setting for lunch or dinner, and a peaceful place from which you can read a book or gaze at the ocean.
The Entrance
The deck is the first place you will visit when you arrive at Saturna Seaside. The house is accessed by an entrance on the deck.
Table and Chairs
During your visit, you can enjoy many meals on the deck. We have a table with four chairs and an umbrella for when you'd like some shade. While you eat or relax, you can enjoy the lovely views of Winter Cove, Boat Pass, the islands of Samuel, Anniversary, Mayne and Pender from the deck.
The View
You can take in a breath of fresh air and enjoy the fantastic view from the deck. You can also sit up on this perch and watch as your family and friends enjoy a game of badminton, croquet, or kayaking on the water!
Barbeque
Our large kitchen is extended onto the deck in the very best way possible -- with a gas barbeque. The grill is large enough to cook a feast for all your friends and family!
